Peachtree City's Choice for Luxury Deck Construction

Peachtree City isn't your average suburb. Between the 100-mile golf cart path network, the mature tree canopy, and neighborhoods like Kedron Village and Glenloch, outdoor living here is a way of life. That's exactly why cookie-cutter decks don't cut it — you need a builder who understands the unique landscape, the local codes, and the materials that hold up in Fayette County's heat and humidity.

Certified Deckorators Pro Installers

Not every contractor can call themselves a certified Deckorators installer — it takes training, tested installs, and a track record of elite material handling. Our certification means your composite deck is built to manufacturer specifications from the framing up, which protects your warranty and guarantees a finished product that performs for decades. We've installed Deckorators composite across Peachtree City, from Planterra Ridge to Wilshire Estates, and every project meets the same exacting standard.

  • Factory-certified installation techniques that protect your 25-50 year warranty
  • Hidden fastener systems for a clean, screw-free surface
  • Proper ventilation and gap spacing designed for Georgia's seasonal expansion

Built for Georgia's Climate

Pressure-treated wood starts deteriorating the day it's installed in Georgia's humidity. Within a few years, you're dealing with warped boards, popped nails, and annual staining just to keep it looking decent. Our Deckorators composite decks skip all of that. The capped polymer shell resists moisture absorption, mold growth, and UV fading — three things that destroy traditional decks in Peachtree City's climate. The result is a deck that looks as good in year fifteen as it did the week we finished building it.

Every deck we build also integrates with your property's existing layout. If your lot backs up to a golf cart path, we design around the setback requirements. If you've got mature oaks that create shade patterns, we'll select board colors that complement the natural setting rather than fight it. Custom deck designs aren't just about picking a shape — they're about making the finished space feel like a natural extension of your Peachtree City home.

Railing & Porch Specialists

Modern Cable Railing & Screened Porch Solutions

A deck is only as good as its finishing details. Cable railing for decks transforms a standard build into a statement piece, while a screened porch turns seasonal outdoor space into a year-round room. We specialize in both — and everything in between.

Stainless Steel Cable Railing

Cable railing for decks is the single best upgrade you can make if your property has any kind of view — and in Peachtree City, that includes everything from golf course fairways to the wooded lots along Flat Creek. The horizontal stainless steel cables create a nearly invisible barrier that keeps the sightlines open while meeting all Georgia safety codes.

We use marine-grade 316 stainless steel cable and aluminum or stainless posts that won't rust, pit, or discolor in the Georgia humidity. The tensioning hardware is concealed inside the posts for a clean look, and the entire system is designed to go decades without adjustment or replacement. Compared to wood pickets that warp and split within a few years, cable railing is a permanent upgrade.

  • Marine-grade 316 stainless steel cables
  • Concealed tensioning hardware
  • Georgia building code compliant
  • Unobstructed backyard views

Custom Screened-In Porches

Georgia summers bring heat, mosquitoes, and afternoon thunderstorms — three things that can shut down your outdoor plans fast. A screened-in porch solves all three. We build custom screen enclosures over new or existing decks, giving you a bug-free, shaded space that stays comfortable from March through November.

Our porch designs include integrated options that make the space truly livable: recessed LED lighting for evening use, ceiling fans for airflow, and under-deck drainage systems that keep the area below dry and usable. For Peachtree City homeowners who want the full outdoor living experience without fighting the elements, a screened porch is the highest-value addition we build.

  • Bug-free three-season outdoor living
  • Integrated LED lighting and ceiling fans
  • Under-deck drainage systems
  • High-end finishes matching Peachtree City homes

"It's tough to find people you feel like you can trust not to try and get over on you. I spoke with Wes about work I needed to get done and was surprised at his level of honesty and professionalism. Putting that with the word of mouth on the quality of his work... and I wouldn't/won't hesitate to work with him on my next project."

"We had a major project to be undertaken. Need construction to the rescue!! We had water damage to some of the framing on the home exterior and major deck demo and rebuild. They handled it all. I had some unique requests that I wanted installed on my deck. The DekDrain rain system along with the full composite Dekorators Summit boards and railing with a cocktail rail was our desire. We also had to have a concrete patio area below. Wes and his team made it all happen. The subframe was built with better materials that any other contractor had even offered and I was impressed with that alone. I have no doubt that hurricane force winds would have no effect on this fortress of a deck. Even the city inpectors were wowed by the build quality. The craftsmanship and finishing of the final product is top tier. They will take the time to make sure it's your dream come true."

FAQ

Deck Building FAQs for Peachtree City

Common questions from homeowners planning a new deck or cable railing project in Peachtree City, GA.

What is the benefit of cable railing for decks in Peachtree City?

Cable railing for decks delivers a sleek, modern look while requiring virtually no upkeep — no painting, no rotting spindles, no warping. For Peachtree City homeowners, that means unobstructed views of the golf cart paths, wooded lots, and manicured fairways that make this community special. Stainless steel cables also outlast traditional wood pickets by decades, standing up to Georgia's humidity and seasonal storms without corrosion.

How much does it cost to build a composite deck in Peachtree City?

Most composite deck projects in Peachtree City fall between $15,000 and $45,000, depending on size, material grade, and design complexity. Choosing Deckorators composite over pressure-treated wood increases material cost upfront but eliminates years of staining, sealing, and board replacement. Railing style is another big factor — cable railing for decks runs higher than standard aluminum pickets, but the clean sightlines and low maintenance make it a strong investment for properties here in Fayette County.

How long does Deckorators composite decking last?

Deckorators composite decking carries industry-leading warranties ranging from 25 to 50 years, depending on the product line. The boards resist rot, mold, insect damage, and UV fading — all common issues with natural wood in Georgia's climate. Unlike a pressure-treated deck that needs annual staining and eventual board replacement, a Deckorators deck stays looking sharp with nothing more than a soap-and-water wash twice a year.

Can you build a deck over an existing golf cart path?

Yes, but it takes careful planning. Peachtree City's golf cart path system has specific setback and clearance requirements, and your HOA may have additional rules about structures near the paths. We've handled these projects before in neighborhoods like Kedron and Braelinn — our team manages the engineering, permitting through Fayette County, and HOA approval so the finished deck meets every code requirement while maximizing your usable outdoor space.

What is the best railing for a deck with a view?

Cable railing is the top choice for view preservation. The thin stainless steel cables create a nearly transparent barrier that lets you enjoy your backyard, tree line, or golf course views without obstruction. Glass panel systems are another option if you want full wind protection, and slim-profile aluminum pickets offer a middle ground. For most Peachtree City decks, we recommend cable railing for decks because it pairs perfectly with composite materials and handles the outdoor conditions here.

How do I maintain my new composite deck?

Composite decking is about as low-maintenance as outdoor flooring gets. Sweep off debris regularly and give it a soap-and-water scrub twice a year — once in spring and once in fall. No staining, no sealing, no sanding. Avoid pressure washers set above 3,100 PSI and skip harsh chemical cleaners, as they can damage the cap layer. That's really it — your deck will look great year after year with minimal effort.

Are you a licensed deck builder near me in Peachtree City?

Absolutely. Need Construction is fully licensed and insured to build decks throughout Peachtree City and Fayette County. We've worked with local building inspectors on dozens of projects and understand exactly what's required for permits in this area. We're happy to provide local references from Peachtree City homeowners who can speak to the quality of our work firsthand.

How long does the deck construction process take?

A standard deck build runs 2 to 4 weeks from the first day of construction. Permitting through Fayette County typically adds 2 to 3 weeks before we can break ground, so plan for 4 to 7 weeks total from signing your contract. Custom features like outdoor kitchens, covered patio roofs, or multi-level designs can extend the build timeline. We'll give you a detailed schedule during your initial consultation so there are no surprises.
